Robyn Branch is the founder of an interior design studio that bears her name with offices on Amelia Island in Florida, in Charleston, S.C., and in Charlotte, N.C.; the firm deservedly chosen for a Florida Design magazine Seaglass Award in 2023. Robyn has a dynamic professional life that includes projects around the United States and in the Caribbean, and she is the president-elect of the American Society of Interior Designer’s Florida North chapter. We recently reached out to the busy professional because we noticed some incredible photos on her Instagram feed that featured our products. We asked her to share with our readers why each one inspired her to place it in one of her stylish interiors, including the Fen Large Chandelier above. Be sure to read to the end of the post because we present her profile below her answers.

In this serene space that serves as the lady of the house’s reading room, Robyn set out give her a classically lovely retreat. “They’re an incredible couple who raised eight children in the home and are diligent about giving back to the community,” Robyn says about the homeowners. “I met them through her mother, who passed away and left quite a few antiques that needed to be incorporated into her home, which is what inspired a substantial renovation of the house.” Robyn chose the Malayan White Floor Lamps to flank the settee because they are sculptural. “They remind me of totems,” she explains, “and totems usually have a story behind them, which I believe the lamps do, as well. I thought they would punctuate the small-scale sofa because they are oversized and they feel perfect in the space.”

“This client is very elegant, and I would go so far as to say she’s the epitome of glamour,” Robyn explains about the woman for whom she chose our Fen Large Chandelier. “She wanted hints of sparkle everywhere, so the crystal drops dangling from the chandelier are perfect. The draperies have metallic feathers on them and the chairs are upholstered in a faux fish skin. Everything in the room is high-end luxury and has a great deal of sheen—though the wallpaper doesn’t show it in this image, it is metallic, which adds another layer of subtle shimmer.”

Robyn says the Mimi Aqua Table Lamp is perfect for this master bedroom because it has an old world/new world vibe. “The feeling of age on the surface patterning carries the patina reflected in the antiques from other rooms in the house into this one,” she explains. “The nightstand and other pieces in the room are bamboo, which bring a modernized British Colonial feel to the room, which the lamp also reflects. I wanted to carry the new and old mix throughout the house, which is also very comfortable and liveable. The lamp with its textural surface furthers the elegant and lovely feel of the bedroom with its beautiful fabrics and wallpaper.”

“This is a little house on the waterway that has a Ranch-style exterior,” Robyn says about the home for which she chose our Mereworth Oval Chandelier. “The pool table is made from 180-year-old walnut, and the chandelier had to function so they could shoot pool, but needed to work with the warmth of that wood. The home also has low ceilings so I wanted a fixture that didn’t extend down too far. One of the things I love the most about the design of this chandelier is that it has a clean, neat look, but also has a natural texture to it.”

“We chose these pendants because there was so much infinite space in the high-ceilinged room,” Robyn explains about tapping our Finhorn 30-Light Linear Multi-Drop Pendant. “We were brought in after the home had been renovated and everything was a glaring white. We wrapped the beam, which you can just see at the top of this image, in pecky cypress and we needed something warm to work with that texture. The room is entered through the foyer, which is very small, so before we added the textural elements, it felt like walking into an abyss. The pendants not only fill space, they are interesting and glamourous, and they add warmth to the space.”

Robyn Branch and her Design Story

Robyn Branch, founder of Robyn Branch Design.

Robyn calls her story “a life designed” because she was born to be in the profession. Raised in North Carolina by furniture store owners, her earliest memories are not of dolls or playgrounds but are of patterns, textures, and the hum of possibility that filled the air during High Point Market. She was five years old the first time she attended as a wide-eyed child absorbing the energy of the country’s interior design capital. She was always drawn to creative endeavors. Before she founded her design firm in 2007, she explored the arts through theater and fashion, sharpening her eye for storytelling, layering, and drama. That creative foundation became the backbone of her work: It was natural that the stage set became the room, the costume became the curated interior, and every project became a new act in an ever-evolving dramatic journey.

Her firm is now recognized as one of the premier design firms in the Southeast. Her Amelia Island studio that includes a by-appointment-only showroom is where the magic begins, but her design sense is never confined to a single place. Whether it’s a historic home begging to be honored or a sleek oceanfront retreat asking for a modern twist, she pays attention: taking in the view, listening to the client, and teasing out the untold story of each space. She is known for her flexibility, her extensive international resource list, and the elite artisans and craftsmen she calls her “A Team.” Her clients often return for second and third homes because they know she will always deliver something fresh, tailored, and unexpected.

Robyn is credentialed to design for aging-in-place and is an Associate Member of the American Society of Interior Designers with licenses in real estate and general contracting in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This allows her firm to offer a full-spectrum, design-build approach that makes the impossible feel effortless. Robyn especially treasures projects that involve historic preservation, because the stories within the buildings are layered in plaster and time. Her respect for the past and eye for the future come together in those spaces in ways that feel cinematic to her. This year Robyn is the president-elect of the Florida North chapter of ASID. Looking toward being president in 2026, she says it’s a great deal of work but it is worthy of her time.

“Supporting talented and well-trained designers is an important aspect of this organization’s mission. Future professionals go to school for four years before interning for several years and likely working for someone else for a number of years before founding their own firms. It’s a rigorous path,” Robyn notes. “Our profession can sometimes feel solitary, so friendly ASID chapters like ours can offer each of us opportunities to be social. I feel one of the best services the organization provides to designers is the ongoing CEU program, because it helps them maintain their licensure. I love ASID: not only have they educated me, they have supported me in so many ways. The Florida North members are very accepting and kind, which makes our chapter deserving of the support that sponsors like Currey & Company provide. It means so much that the company has always looked after us.”
